Sorting table rows

Summary

Click the button to sort a table’s rows using a specified column (field) as the key. Tables containing an attachment field are not supported.

This plugin supports smartphones.

How to use

Choose the table, sort column, sort order, and button label. Click the button on a record creation or edit page to sort the rows. To refresh a lookup in the table afterward, also select the lookup field to retrieve again.

When it runs

Depending on the settings, this customization runs at the following times. Any configured conditions are also evaluated.

  • When you open a record creation or edit page
  • When you click a button added by this plugin

Click the button added by this customization to run the operation.

The page-display and field-change triggers exclude inline editing from the pencil icon on the list page.

Parameters

Enter or select a value for each setting unless it is marked optional.

Table

Choose the table to sort. Tables containing attachment fields are not supported. To refresh lookups after sorting, also configure the lookup fields to retrieve again.

The following field types can be selected.

  • Table

Key Field

Choose the column used to sort the rows.

The following field types cannot be selected.

  • Check box
  • Multi-choice
  • Attachment
  • User selection
  • Department selection
  • Group selection
  • Table
  • Related records
  • Field group
  • Label
  • Blank space
  • Border

Select a field inside a table.

Order

Please select the order of the key fields.

Available options:

  • Ascending
  • Descending

Initial value: Ascending

Label

Please enter a label for the button that performs the sort operation.

Initial value: 並べ替え

Lookup Fields to Retrieve Again

Please specify a lookup field in the table. Data will be re-fetched when you click the button to sort the table. You can select more than one field. This setting is optional.

The following field types can be selected.

  • Lookup (text)
  • Lookup (number)
