Compare two time or date and time values.
Specify A, B, and the comparison criteria. You can add or subtract hours or minutes from B before comparing.
For example, you can express a comparison such as A >= B + 8 hours. If either A or B is empty, the condition is not met; no error occurs.
Enter the time to compare. To use a field value, enter = followed by its field code, for example =Time_2. To use the current time, enter =now().
Select the comparison criteria. A is compared with B after any specified calculation. “Greater than” means that A is later than B.
Enter the time to compare with A. Field values can be referenced in the same way as for A.
Enter the number of hours or minutes to add to or subtract from B before comparing it with A. Negative numbers are also allowed.
For example, to compare with B plus three hours, select the corresponding calculation and enter 3. Entering -3 instead gives three hours before B.
Leave this blank to compare B without a calculation. This value is ignored when the calculation is set to “Do not calculate”.
Select the calculation to apply to B, including the unit (hours or minutes).
If both values include a date, the dates are included in the comparison. If only one value includes a date, the other is assigned the same date in the logged-in user’s time zone before any calculation is applied to B.
For example, A = 2019-03-01 23:00 and B = 21:00 with four hours added to B compares A with 2019-03-02 01:00.
To combine a Date field and a Time field, use =Date_1 & " " & Time_1. This value is interpreted in the logged-in user’s time zone.
