Create a dropdown that lets you narrow down and select an item in 2 to 3 stages.
This plugin supports smartphones.
Choose the master app and its first- and second-stage fields. In this app, prepare destination fields and dropdown spaces for each stage. Selecting the first stage on a creation or edit page narrows the second-stage choices. For three-stage filtering, also configure the third-stage master field, destination field, and space.
Depending on the settings, this customization runs at the following times. Any configured conditions are also evaluated.
The page-display and field-change triggers exclude inline editing from the pencil icon on the list page.
Enter or select a value for each setting unless it is marked optional.
Select the app that has the data to be used as a dropdown menu option.

The following field types can be selected.

Third-stage candidates are searched by the second-stage value. Candidates from different major categories can therefore appear when they share that value.
Selecting a different higher-level category clears the lower-level selections. Result fields are made uneditable, and dropdown spaces are hidden on details pages. To use the third stage, configure its master field, destination field, and display space together.
