When you save a record, check whether its date/time range overlaps with another record’s in the same app, and if so, cancel the save with an error.
This plugin supports smartphones.
Select the fields representing the start and end dates. Configure what counts as an overlap to prevent saving records whose periods overlap other records in the same app.
Depending on the settings, this customization runs at the following times. Any configured conditions are also evaluated.
Enter or select a value for each setting unless it is marked optional.
Choose the start date field for the periods to check for overlaps.
The following field types can be selected.
Choose the end date field for the periods to check for overlaps.
The following field types can be selected.
Choose whether one period may end exactly when another begins. For date and time fields, the comparison includes the time.
Available options:
Initial value: No Overlaps Allowed
Operation is not guaranteed in apps where the field code of the Record number field has been changed.
Specify different values for “Start Date Field” and “End Date Field”.
Allowing overlaps permits one period to end exactly when another begins. Overlap within the periods still prevents saving under either setting. Checks run when both endpoints are filled in, and the record being edited is excluded from comparisons.
