Post a comment on the current record.

How to use

Post a comment on the currently open record from the record details or the edit page.

A logged-in user will be treated as a person who posted the comment. There is no feature to comment on behalf of other users.

When using the PC version, the posted comment will be immediately reflected on the page if the user keeps the comment section open. If the user has not opened the comment section, it will not be reflected on the page until the user opens the comment section.

When using the mobile version, the posted comment will not be immediately reflected on the page. Reloading is needed to reflect on the page.

Parameters

Set the Comment, Mention, and Mention Type".

Comment

Enter the content to be posted.

Text decoration is not possible.

Mention

Enter this parameter to specify recipients in the comment. You can omit this parameter if it is not needed.

The following methods can be used:

Direct entering

Enter the user’s login name, group, or department code to specify a specific user, group, or department. To specify multiple users, groups, or departments, please separate each entry with a comma.

john, jane

To specify a guest user, use the format “guest/login email address”.

Example: guest/john@r3it.com

Using the formula, you can set the selected target as the recipient in the currently open record’s user, group, and department selection fields.

The creator and updater fields can also be specified in the same way.

If the following action has been executed, you can specify its result value in the expression to direct it to the group or department.

For example, if the first action is “Get Belonging Organization of Login User,” specify it as follows:

If the user belongs to multiple departments, all of them will be the destination.

Mention Type

Select whether the specified content in “Mention” is an individual, a group, or an organization.

If no destination is found specified with the combination of Mention and Mention Type, an error will occur when executing the action.

Restrictions

  • This action cannot be performed on the record list.

  • On the record addition page, the action is only available immediately after saving the record and cannot be performed at any other time.

  • You cannot specify a destination that mixes individuals, groups, and organizations.
